Hold Still by Nina LaCour

Hold Still is about two best friends named Caitlin and Ingrid. They do everything together. They are like sisters. Caitlin and Ingrid tell each other everything, at least Caitlin thought. Caitlin's life fell apart when Ingrid kills herself,she slit her wrists and bled to death. Caitlin lost all her interest for every thing she did before her best friend was gone. When it comes time to go back to school she does not want to! She is invisible to the world . No one looks at her or pays attention to her. She has to go the her Photography class. Caitlin and Ingrid were in this class last here and they loved it, they got to take pics and have fun times together. But this year her teacher pays no attention to her, her class mates don't look at her or talk to her. She knows this all because she was best friends with the girl who took her life. Then one day Caitlin was in her room and found Ingrid's journal under her bed. She is scared to read it. Then she comes to reading a page when she is upset.

This is a book for young teens or adults, this book teaches about how that it hurts others but taking your life.You have to be able to read sad stories. This book is 228 pages but they go by fast. Through out of the book there is a page from Ingrid's journal.

Fallout by Ellen Hopkins

The book that I read was called Fallout it is a series of two other books. Nineteen years after glass this book takes place.This book is in the perspective of Kristina's oldest children, Hunter, Summer, Autumn, Hunter is her first child. She is addicted to crank so her parents raise Hunter.

This book shows how very different the 3 kids lives are. Kristina and the children's fathers are not in their lives. Hunter is the only one that has contact with his mothers parents at first.. Then later in the book..Kristina's younger boys end up moving in with kristina's parents... Her parents are stressed...

I would recommend this book to teen age girls...... or even teen boys who like drama and books that leave u wondering and books in poems... This book is 672 pages long, but it is a very quite read because it is set up in poem like form.

Glass By Ellen Hopkins

This book is the second book in the series of three. The book is about a girl named Kristina or other wise known as Bree.
The book before Glass is called Crank, and in the end of Crank Kristina was spend her money on crank and she has not been taking the best care of her son Hunter.
In Glass Kristina she starts out clean,she has not used crank in months, but then she starts to go down hill again. She is always struggling because she knows that she should not be using but she just wants to feel like she does not have any problems. She meets a supplier and gets close to him.
The closer she gets to Trey(the supplier) the more she goes down hill. Kristina and her mom are not doing so well, Kristina is pushing her mother away.Hunter is growing up and needs his mom!
This book is a very fast read, it is written is poem form. There are 681 pages but the go by fast! I really like this book, I can't put it down once I get started.
My teacher introduced me to this author, I am so glad she did

Hoot by Carl Hiaasen

The book that I am reading is called "Hoot" by Carl Hiaasen. This book is about a boy named Roy. He moves from Montana. He does not really fit in tho, He has no friends. One day he is sitting on the bus listening to the school bully pick on some little kid in the back of the bus. He looks out the window and sees a strange boy running,really fast. No shoes shorts, Blonde hair. Hes interested now and wants to know more.Next thing Roy knows Dana Matherson(school bully) is right behind him choking him. Roy just does what any normal person that is get hurt does, he punches him. Roy gets free and runs off the bus,bumping into a tall slim girl. He keeps running.
A new Pancake place is being built in Coconut Cove. Everyone is happy about it. Except someone is going around stalling the constuction site. Taking stakes out and scaring watch dogs, other stuff. Someone does not wont this pancake house to be built. Roy gets into some trouble and some he did not know about.
I have read this book 3 times. It is just one of those books that you love. I love how it's fun to think about what's going to happen next in the book.
This is a book for young readers. Someone who loves happy endings.This book is only 292 pages long. This is a novel. There is another book that is called flushed by Carl Hiaansen. Also another good book.

Good Poems By: Garrison Keillor

This is a book full of different types of poems.The way that the book is set up is in catagories. There are short Poems and there are longer poems. Some are shorter then a page and some are two pages long. It is a very quick read. You do not have to read it in order, you can skip around and read waht you want.i recomend this for adults and young adults. There are 433 pages in this book, but they go by fast.

Gentle's Holler By:Kerry Madden

This is a book about a girl named Livy Two that lives with her 8 younger siblings and 1 older brother, and her two poor parents.They live in North Carolinia in the hills in an old broken house. Their dad writes music and goes around trying to sell it. Never does tho. Their mom does not work she is always tending to the little ones. Livy Two's three year old sister is going blind. Her family is stuggling to survive. The kids find a nice dog and try to train it so thats it can be Gentle's guide dog. They all are trying to help the family make sure that Gentle it healthy.
In a way this is a sad story. It broke my heart to see that the family had such a hard time to make it another week. this is a good book tho.
It is for young adults, and adults. It is 237 pages. There are a lot of suprises in this book.

Light in the attic By: Shel Silverstein

This book is full of poems. There are short Poems and longer poems. There are pictures to go with the poems.So many different types of poems. Poems from a poem about a thumb hand to shapes. I like this book because I like poems, the poems are funny.The pictures will make anyone laugh.If you like to laugh and smile and randoms poems that some times dont make any sence then this is the book for you .It is 186 pages but a quick read. It is a good book to read to the young ones.

Charmed Hounted by Desire By: Constance M.Burge

This is a book from a series, this series is about three witches that deal with a lot of problems, other witches and demonds. In this book Phoebe desides that she wants to go to college to make her life a little better.
When in one of her classes she meets a man named bret, they start dating and it's all good till his ex gets jealous.
Phoebe's sisters start fighting over a guy. Bad stuff always happens when new people come into the three sisters lifes. Pipper and Phoebe and Prue(the three whitches)have to keep the fact that they are witches a secret so they go through a lot making sure it stays that way.
I just like the series Charmed because I just like the fact that it is a mystery. The book is 181 pages. Not to long. If you like withches mystery and conflict this is the book for you.
